I am not a "large tour , get on a tour bus every morning" type of person so when I heard about Shahla's tours I knew this was for me. Our small group of four met in Rome. Our accommodation was great - Fantastic location with heaps going on the area if you wanted to wander off and explore alone. The hotel owners in both locations were friendly, approachable and very good to us.
I liked the way as a group we were able to participate in some of the tour planning, and Shahla's knowledge of Rome is amazing. She took us to her special and favourite places as well as the must-see tourist attractions. For me the Sistine Chapel was very special but every visitor to Rome will have their own favourite attractions. Some of the restaurants we went to were fantastic. I especially liked the cafe/restaurant we went to where Shahla showed how the true caffe latte is made and the restaurant where the waiter knew all about not only the All Blacks, but the All Whites and Team New Zealand.. I think he enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed him.

For me, the Amalfi Coast was truly amazing. I would return tomorrow. Our accommodation on the main street was lovely and just 5 minutes from the main Piazza. The day long bus trip on the steep, hilly roads was beautiful and we left the bus and spent time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Each town was charming and they were all quite different from one another. We waded in the sea, ate beautiful seafood, wandered around the shops and saw lovely churches and fantastic views. A day I will always remember.
I particularly enjoyed the spur of the moment things we did. A visit to the Campo de' Fiori, a pizza lunch (zucchini flower pizza for me) and then sitting for half an hour watching a beer ad being made for televison. We stumbled across this quite by accident.. Lovely.
I really enjoyed having coffee each morning at our "local", situated near the hotels. The owners quickly got to know us and what caffe we would order and made it with a friendly smile for us each morning. The man in Sorrento started on our coffee as we walked in the door each morning instead of waiting until we paid. Great.
Thank you Shahla. It was a fantastic holiday. I feel I was lucky to have found you and your Tour.
