 2012 Itineraries

What's new and exciting in 2012?    

• You can start and finish your tour of Italy and/or Paris at any point you wish!  I will price it for you accordingly.

• Bring a friend along to share accommodation and get a discount of 100 Euros for one itinerary, or 150 Euros for 2 itineraries, or 250 Euros for 3 itineraries, per person!

• Tour Prices for 2012 include all your transport (by Train, Ferry, Metro, Bus) in Italy and Paris (with the exception of travel to & from the airport).  And of course, tour prices include all your accommodation costs in Italy and Paris, same as previous years.

• Your tour prices cover daily breakfast in Italian/French style (coffee/tea & cornetto/croissant).

• Your Amalfi tour, offers 'un apperitivo' at the Piano Bar of the luxurious Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento.  While sipping a famous Italian drink, such as prosecco, limoncello, aperol, campari soda, etc, or just a delightful fresh fruit juice, you will be overlooking the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius... an unforgettable scenery!

• Your Amalfi tour also offers a dinner at the magnificent Parrucchiano restaurant in Sorrento.  You'll be sitting under the lemon trees and will be surronded by candle lights ...che bello! 

• Your Tuscuny and Veneto tour offers an opera in an intimate ambiance of either a beautiful church or the magnificent Arena (when possible), for those interested! 

•  Your Milan tour offers a night away at Lake Como, staying either at Como or Bellagio (the choice will depende on accommodation availability at the time).

• Your Paris tour offers a sightseeing cruise over the Seine, and a show at either Cabaret Lido in Champs Elysees or Moulin Rouge in Montmartre...oh la la!
  

Here are three connecting itineraries, covering places I love the most. You can choose one (for 7 nights), two (for 14 nights) or all three itineraries for a wonderful 23 nights holiday in Italy and Paris!

Itinerary 1

Rome & Amalfi Coast: Rome, Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Pompeii  

Duration:  7 nights in Italy

Price:  1650 Euros for your own private room & bathroom.  If you come with a friend to share accommodation, you each get 100 Euros, or 150 Euros, or 250 Euros discount, depending on whether you've chosen 1, or 2, or all 3 itineraries.   

 Starting Dates in Rome: 7 Choices

 20 April, 20 May, 20 June, 20 July, 20 Aug, 20 Sept, 20 Oct. 

Itinerary 1 finishes in Sorrento on: 27 April, 27 May, 27 June, 27 July, 27 Sept, 27 Oct.  You can either continue on with Itinerary 2 (Tuscany & Venice) or depart (in which case, I would be happy to assist in hotel reservation for your last night, if you are departing from Rome, or Milan or elsewhere in Italy).  Please note that you will pay for all costs (such as transport, hotel, etc) once the tour finishes in Sorrento.

Accommodation Base

Rome: 3 nights

Sorrento: 4 nights. From Sorrento we will take day trips to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Pompeii

Itinerary 1 finishes in Sorrento.  

But if you don't want to say 'arrivederci' yet, continue on with Itineray 2!

Itinerary 2

Tuscany & Veneto: Florence, Siena & San Gimignano, Verona and Venice

Duration: 7 nights in Italy

Price:  1850 Euros for your own private room & bathroom.  If you come with a friend to share accommodation, you each get 100 Euros, or 150 Euros or 250 Euros disocunt, depending on whether you've chosen 1, or 2, or all 3 itineraries.     

Starting Dates in Florence: 7 Choices

27 April, 27 May, 27 June, 27 July, 27 Aug, 27 Sept, 27 Oct

Itinerary 2 finishes in Verona on: 4 May, 3 June, 4 July, 3 Aug, 3 Sept, 4 oct, 3 Nov.       You can either continue on with Itinerary 3 (Milan & Paris) or depart (in which case I would be happy to assist in hotel reservation for your last night in Rome, or Milan or elsewhere in Italy).  Please note that you will pay for all costs (such as transport, hotel, etc) once the tour finishes in Verona.    

Accommodation Base

Florence: 4 nights.  From Florence we will take day trips to Siena and San Gimignano 

Verona: 3 nights. From Verona we will take a day trip to Venice

    Itinerary 2 finishes in Verona.

But why say 'arriverderci' when you can continue on with Itinerary 3! 

Itinerary 3

Milan, Lake Como and Paris 

Duration:  9 nights (4 nights in Milan and Lake Como, and 5 nights in Paris)

Price:  2400 Euros for your own private room & bathroom.   If you come with a friend to share accommodation, you each get either 100 Euros, or 150 Euros or 250 Euros discount, depending on whether you've chosen 1, 2 or all 3 itineraries.   

Starting Dates in Milan: 7 Choices

4 May, 3 June, 4 July, 3 Aug, 3 Sept, 4 Oct, 3 Nov 

Arrival in Paris:8 May, 7 June, 8 July, 7 Aug, 7 Sept, 8 Oct, 7 Nov

Departure from Paris: 13 May, 12 June,13 July, 12 August, 12 Sept, 13 October and 12 November  

Accommodation Base

Milan: 3 nights  

Lake Como:  1 Night.  While we will keep our rooms in the hotel in Milan, we will pack an overnight bag for a night away at the beautiful Lake Como! 

Paris:  5 nights:  we will arrive in Paris by train from Milan.

 Itinerary 3 finishes in Paris

with a great 'Au Revoir' night at Cabaret Lido or Moulin Rouge!

Price (for any of the above itineraries) covers:

Accommodation for the full period of your tour in family-run hotels or apartments in central city locations. A Shared room (with twin beds) is only available if you bring a friend along, in which case, you will each receive a discount of up to 250 Euros, depending on your selected tours. 

Transport in Italy and Paris (by ferry, metro, bus and train), including a trip from Milan to Paris by train.

Expenses not covered 

Airfares.

Travel and personal Insurance.  You will buy insurance coverage as if you were travelling on your own.

Food, drinks and entertainment costs, other than those specifically mentioned under "What's new and exciting in 2012?" on top of this page.

Sightseeing (entry tickets, headphones and local guides).

Shopping and anything else that is not mentioned specifically as 'included'.

* Please Note

Single rooms may not be available in the same hotel/apartment where other tour members stay. In this case separate hotel accommodation will be arranged.

Airfares, travel and personal insurance, transport to and from the airport, sightseeing (entry tickets, headphones, local guides), food, drinks and entertainment costs are not covered, except those specifically noted under "What's new and exciting in 2012?" on top of this page.
